Primary Care+ Medicaid
Primary Care+ is Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Nebraska's Medicaid managed care
plan for low to moderate income families. It covers a broad range of services,
including inpatient hospital stays, outpatient care, doctor services, lab and
x-ray, home health care, durable medical equipment and more.
The Primary Care+ plan also offers members some unique services including:

In-Home Asthma Program – In-home asthma education for members under the
age of 21 provided by local home health agencies. The program includes up to
eight home visits from a specially trained nurse.

Teen Pregnancy Education Program – Representatives from the Olson Women's
Center lead meetings from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on the last Saturday of every
month at the Westside Community Center, 3534 South 108th Street. Topics include
how to care for your newborn, breastfeeding, financial planning and how to maintain
healthy relationships. A free meal is provided. Scholarships are available through
this program.

Building Better Babies – This proactive prenatal care program is designed
to promote good health for new moms-to-be. An assessment is completed for each
participant, and case management is available for all high-risk pregnancies.
All participants receive a newsletter each trimester of their pregnancy containing
important information on nutrition, exercise and prenatal medical visits.
