If you are a contracting BCBSNE health care provider, the following manuals may
affect your contractual relationship with BCBSNE.
This manual is dedicated to our operational policies and procedures for the new NEtwork BLUE. The
Frequently Asked Questions answers common provider-related questions.
Licensed medical practitioners in accordance with the current provisions of
Nebraska Revised Statutes.
Hospitals, extended care facilities (Skilled Nursing Facility/Swing Bed
(Inpatient/Outpatient), Ambulatory Surgery Centers (ASCs), Ambulances
(hospital/non-hospital based), Diabetes Education, Home Health, Hospice
(Inpatient/Outpatient), Ambulances & Dialysis Centers.
Home medical equipment and home infusion therapy providers. The HME Index
is for Nebraska members only and some policies may have limitations. If an item displays an IC, this means the coverage is dependent on the member's contract
and you will need to call to verify coverage. These items should also be preauthorized.
Psychiatrists, psychologists, licensed mental health practitioners, certified
social workers, psychiatric nurses, certified alcohol and drug abuse counselors,
provisional licensed mental health practitioners and provisional certified
master social workers.
A uniform set of medical policies established by The Blue Cross and Blue Shield
of Nebraska Medical Policy Committee.
Licensed dental health care professionals in accordance with the current provisions of Nebraska Revised Statutes. The Dental Benefits by Plan Code Documentation
explains the different coding issues for in- and out-of-network
benefits, type of coverage and coinsurance amounts, deductibles, calendar years
and specific notes of coverage.
